At The Good Tech, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you're not happy with your order for any reason, we're here to help with our straightforward returns and refunds policy.

Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following conditions:

  • Returned within 30 days of delivery
  • In original, unused condition with all original packaging
  • Include all accessories, manuals, and documentation
  • Have the original receipt or proof of purchase
  • Not be a final sale, clearance, or personalized item

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Opened software, games, or digital products
  • Items marked as "Final Sale" or "Clearance"
  • Personalized or custom-ordered products
  • Gift cards and downloadable products
  • Health and personal care items (for hygiene reasons)
  • Items damaged due to misuse or normal wear and tear

How to Initiate a Return

Follow these simple steps to return your item:

  1. Contact Us: Email returns@thegoodtech.com or call 1-800-GOODTECH with your order number and reason for return
  2. Receive Authorization: We'll send you a Return Authorization (RA) number and return shipping label within 24 hours
  3. Package Your Item: Securely pack the item in its original packaging with all accessories
  4. Ship It Back: Attach the return label and drop off at any authorized shipping location
  5. Track Your Return: Use the tracking number to monitor your return shipment

Return Shipping Costs

Defective or Wrong Items: We'll cover all return shipping costs and send you a prepaid return label.

Change of Mind: Customer is responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping service.

Free Returns: Orders over $100 qualify for free return shipping within the continental US.

Refund Process

Once we receive your returned item:

  • We'll inspect the item within 2-3 business days
  • You'll receive an email confirmation once your return is approved
  • Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5-7 business days
  • It may take an additional 3-5 business days for the refund to appear in your account

Note: Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

Exchanges

We currently don't offer direct exchanges. If you need a different item, please return your original purchase for a refund and place a new order. This ensures you get your preferred item as quickly as possible.

Defective or Damaged Items

If you receive a defective or damaged item:

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery
  • Provide photos of the damage or defect
  • We'll arrange for a replacement or full refund immediately
  • We'll cover all return shipping costs
  • Priority processing for defective item returns

Warranty Claims

Many of our products come with manufacturer warranties. For warranty claims on products purchased from The Good Tech, please contact us first. We'll help facilitate the warranty process with the manufacturer or handle the claim directly if applicable.

Restocking Fee

We do not charge restocking fees for most returns. However, a 15% restocking fee may apply to:

  • Large appliances and TVs over 55 inches
  • Opened items that cannot be resold as new
  • Special order items

You'll be notified of any applicable restocking fees before completing your return.

International Returns

International customers are responsible for return shipping costs and any customs fees. We recommend using a trackable shipping method. Refunds will be issued in the original currency, and exchange rate fluctuations may affect the final amount.
